• Some of our customers report leg problems are greatly reduced by adding 50# of feeding lime to a ton of feed.; I have also heard that many people add milk replacer. So there is no doubt that the added calcium is helpful. Also beneficial—use hanging feeders, which force the broiler to stand up and eat.
• REMEMBER!! Limit the feed on broilers. Start as early as 7 days of age. Do not feed at night. Removing the feeders is an easy solution. You will save on feed costs, and reduce death loss.
